How can I tell which legacy apps have a problem? I received the following message: Existing software on your system loaded a system extension by “Symantec” which will be incompatible with a future version of MacOS. I have MacOS Catalina.

Ventura security problems. I updated to Ventura 13.1 . I can not find a way to run for example VMD, molden etc. These are the programs I used to work with on a daily basis. I am getting the errors: For VMD: “startup.command” cannot be opened because it is from an unidentified developer. macOS cannot verify that this app is free from malware. For molden: “libgfortran.3.dylib” can’t be opened because it was not downloaded from the App Store. Your security settings allow installation of only apps from the App Store. I did not find a way to make it work. Could anyone help, please? Is there any official way for system problems for mac users? This is really annoying to struggle with this kind of new features that does not work properly on the updated macOS. I have a feeling that with the every update I am less and less happy with the operating system and regret that abandoned linux enviroment... Thank you in advance for your help, tips and tricks.

After upgrading to Ventura successfully, my version still shows Monterey 12.6.2 I went through the entire upgrade process to Ventura. There were no error messages and it eventually rebooted and is working. But the version number still read Monterey. Is this just a bug in the Mac About page or did I not upgrade? Btw, I only upgraded the OS and not Safari. Does Apple force you to upgrade Safari too?

pkcs11 problems on macOs Ventura Hello! I am from Costa Rica and when I want to install the digital signature through the /Library/Application Support/Athena/libASEP11.dylib library, my free version of Adobe Acrobat that I use indicates an error when installing it. It says that the module "PKCS#11 cannot be loaded". I have a MacBook Pro M1 and am already a macOS Ventura user. My digital signature device is recent so I don't think that's the problem Has anyone managed to solve this? Thks! ----- ¡Hola! Symantec is an AntiVirus Software that needs to be Removed ASAP. as per Developers Instructions.

Are there any AntiVirus, Disk Cleaner, Optimizers, Defrag, VPNs etc installed which should be removed as per Developers Instructions. They are useless, unneeded, cause havoc and interfere with the normal operation of the OS. The Built-in Security of Big Sur and Catalina is all that is required.
