I'm receiving all of messages on my MacBook but not on my phone. I'm only receiving certain messages on my phone, but when I look at my MacBook I'm seeing messages that I haven't received which are days old. How can I fix this?

On iPhone:

Go to settings>messages>send and receive
under "receive" make sure that both your email and phone number are selected
under "send" make sure it's just your phone number that's selected
