Ordered Apple Watch and delivery date keeps getting pushed back

I ordered the Apple Watch series 6 on Friday, March 12th. This was one day after my fiancé also ordered an Apple Watch. On Sunday evening, the watch was waiting at customs in China. I believe my fiancé’s watch arrived at customs on Friday. Then on Monday, March 15th, the status of my watch changed to cleared customs and said it was in transit. My fiancé’s watch didn’t clear customs until Tuesday, March 16th. I was excited because I thought mine might be coming before my fiancé’s even though he ordered first, but then everything changed. The status of my watch hasn’t changed for three days, while my fiancé’s watch continued to move from China to Alaska to the US, and now today is out for delivery. (Which is a whole week earlier than his expected delivery date.)


On apple’s website my watch says that it will be delivered on the 23rd, but UPS has said it will be delivered on the 22nd this whole time. But yesterday UPS’s delivery date changed to the 23rd and then a couple hours later it changed to the 24th. Now, I checked it this morning and the package says it’s in Japan and the delivery date on UPS has completely disappeared and says to come back tomorrow for an updated delivery date!!! Apple still says it’s delivering on the 23rd, but it says that UPS should be checked for more accurate delivery times.


What is happening!!!??? How does it make sense that I ordered 1 day after my fiancé, and then mine cleared customs first, but mine may be coming 6 days or more later than his?!??!!!

I'm sorry to hear that! I'm always excited whenever I place an order with Apple so I get frustrated too when my order appears to end up taking longer than usual to be delivered. Based on past experiences, I've found Apple's delivery estimate to be accurate (despite what UPS says) so I would wait till the 23rd. You can reach out to Apple Support if you don't receive your order by the 23rd and they can help you with your options. Good luck!
