MacBook Text messages to and from Androids is not working

Just migrated to new MacBook Pro and upgraded it to Big Sur. Before the migration, text messages to and from Androids was working but this functionality is no longer working. My MacBook Pro is able to send and receive test messages from iOS devices.

Please note, this is a MacOS issue not an iOS issue.

Actually, it sort of both an iOS and macOS issue.

Somehow, your MacBook got disconnected from your iPhone. On your iPhone, go to Settings>Messages>Text Message Forwarding and re-select your MacBook (make sure it's signed into the same Apple ID as your iPhone).

You may have to consider troubleshooting both iPhone and the macOS.

This could involve 'check and reset' most common settings to resolution.
