Aerial view on Apple TV 4K

How come my new Apple TV 4K has only 4 aerial screen savers whereas my last Apple TV which was not 4 K had dozens of way more interesting views. And yes, I have it set to change daily.

The Aerials are downloaded one at a time, at the set schedule. To get 20 clips, you may need to wait +16 days, afaik.

Aerials are kept as allowed by free disk space. Clips are removed when disk space is needed for the primary function of the streaming device, including having some free space wiggle room as all flash drives require. When more free space is available, then you will have room for more clips. The 64 GB model will have more room for screen saver clips than the 32 GB model, when used similarly.

Some older clips (tvOS 9/10 era) may not be available in 4K. The 4K model will skip those. (I have never seen e.g. “Alamo Square Park SF/The Painted Ladies houses” on the 4K model.)

If you don’t get any new clips at all, then try resetting the screensaver, e.g. by activating a photo screen saver, and then later reverting to Aerials again.
