AppleTV constantly reconnecting

Hi,

my AppleTV 4K is connected via HDMI to a Denon AVR-S960H AV-Receiver, which can play back on HDMI-output 1 (Toshiba TV) and HDMI-output 2 (Epson EH-TW7100 projector).

Now, when the projector is turned off and the TV is turned on, the AppleTV seems to constantly "reconnect", meaning: the picture turns black every 5 seconds, and then comes back on. Over and over.

This will only stop, if I turn on the beamer, or when I disconnect it from the receiver.

This does not happen with my other playback devices (SAT-receiver, Xbox).

And it does not happen, when playing back on the projector while the TV is off - or when playing back on both devices at the same time.

I think I can rule out HDMI-CEC as the culprit, as I turned off all CEC-settings in all devices - and also tried out a "HDMI-CEC-jammer", which I plugged in between projector and receiver...and, because it didn't help, also in between the two other combinations.

I also made sure that the cables are perfect and all AppleTV cable tests passed.

Is there maybe some HDMI-/sync-issue in the tvOS software ?

Please first verify that the Apple TV has the most up-to-date version of TV OS. Once you have verified the most up-to-date version of TV OS is installed please check the problem again. If it still occurs, please do the following:

Reset Modem (yes, even if every other device is working okay)
Reset Router
Unplug the Apple TV from it's power source for 2-3 minutes. Re-plug in and then retest.

Not necessarily. It could also be a setting in your network. One limitation of working in a forum is we don't have the luxury of being there. Then it is possible you are also experiencing a networking issue where the Apple TV is located. I'm not referring to High Speed Internet, I am referring to the ability of the wi-fi signal having the ability to get a strong signal where the Apple TV is located.

It is possible you are a candidate for a Mesh Network, if you are not familiar with Mesh networking I recommend that you do a bit of research. These have become very popular over the last 3-4 years as users add more and more Internet devices in their homes, all of these devices compete for the available bandwidth in the home.
