iMac making noises, sounds like the fan

My iMac is making loud noises, sounding like the fan, I cleaned the vents and did the two resets suggested below, the noises persist. I don't know what else to do, this is an IMAC 27 inch, late 2012, running 10.12.6, nothing big is open at the moment.

It is worrisome

You may have a failing fan or fan sensor. Please take the computer to your local Apple Authorized Service Provider to be check out.
