Flights climbed health app
I’ve been climbing about 900-1000 feet elevation but app only shows a few (10 or less) flights. Frustrating.

Hello Shmegege,
We would like to see how we can help you with your workouts. Are you using the Apple Watch or your iPhone to gauge your workout? If you are using your Apple Watch, follow the steps in this link and test the issue: Calibrating your Apple Watch for improved Workout and Activity accuracy
Cheers!
Are you climbing stairs? Or are you hiking? The algorithm can (generally) tell the difference. Elevation gains during hikes aren't (shouldn't - occasionally they do) get counted as flights of stairs.
Thanks for responding. No I do not have an Apple Watch, just my iPhone. The compass feature accurately displays my altitude so I know that my hikes have taken me to elevations that are not reflected in the health app's flights climbed feature. Thanks again for responding.
Hello Shmegege,
Thank you for that information. Which iOS version are you currently running? Go to Settings > General > About for the version. Go to Settings > Privacy > Motion & Fitness, and be sure Fitness Tracking and Health are enabled.
Cheers!
Thanks, actuclly that is what I figured was happening. These are indaeced hikes. Sometimes passages are counted, I think if they are very steep, otherwise not. It was just weird to know I had climbed 1000 feet only to show 9 floors! Thanks again.
I just recently updated to 14.4.1. All those settings are enabled.
Glad you got it figured out!
