Why does Safari use Yahoo as default search engine?

Whenever I write a search in the address field in my Safari browser, it uses Yahoo even though I have made google my default, why is that? Can it be changed? I've tried so many ways to change it back such as untick all safari extension and relaunch safari back. I've also try to untick the proxies change settings. Nothing seems work. Can anyone help me here.
