Night Shift not working on a compatible external monitor after recovering from sleep.
I'm using a 16 inch MacBook Pro with a Dell U2718Q monitor, which is totally compatible with Night Shift, since I'm able to enable Night Shift in system preferences.
How to reproduce:
- Command-Q to lock the device, and esc key on the login screen.
- Wait until the monitor says no input or no signal.
- Wake up the MacBook.
Night Shift still functions perfectly on the internal display, but not on the external display, which is now as bright and blue as it is in day time.
The control center and system preferences still indicates that Night Shift is enabled for the external display. Turn it off and re-enable it, then Night Shift would be working again.
Disabling and re-enabling TrueTone also brings back Night Shift to the monitor.
