iPhone 6 sticks on boot logo after using any app for a while

Whilst using an app for a short time on an iPhone 6 it will go into boot mode and stay on boot logo. If left like this for any time the battery discharges completely. The only way to prevent this is to keep it plugged into the mains. Not very mobile! What is the problem and can it be fixed?

  1. Try and Force ReStart Your iPhone as instructed in this article by Apple ➔ How to Force ReStart your iPhone. If that does not work then -
  2. Follow the instructions in this article by Apple ➔ If your iPhone is Non-Responsive or Frozen and see if that helps.

You may have a poor battery condition which cannot provide sufficient power for peak performance. What is the Battery Health of your iPhone? Open Settings Battery Battery Health and let us know which percentage you see for Maximum Capacity. Also note what is written under Peak Performance. If your battery's Maximum Capacity shows a value of 80% or less then it has gone through its lifecycle and therefore should be replaced, according to Apple.
