Hey
I have a Mac book pro 2019, that I use at home and for work. I have just started using a new monitor at work that is 2048 x 1080.
My problem is that now that I'm using my own screen at home that is 2560 x 1440, it will only display in 2048 x 1080.
can't figure out how to fix, Thanks in advance.

If you select Mirror Displays, your Mac chooses a resolution that both displays appear capable of showing completely.
