I once had the desire to become a developer after I retired and my subscription has expired. I would like to dabble in some creativeness using XCode, but I don't want to have to pay to do that.. Any apps I create would be for my own use and just to keep my coding skills up.
I tried to use XCode yesterday and got two errors that appear to be related to my subscription.

Are you doing apps for iOS or Mac?
Xcode is free, and there is a free developers account that will let you run software on your own iOS device.
I don't think you need a developer account to run programs on the Mac.
I suspect there are some old developer provisioning certificates around that need to be deleted from Keychain, or need be de-selected from the Xcode build.

Have a full backup first, etc.
Is there a free version of XCode?
