Icon on home screen

tecently an icon appeared on my iPhone 8 Home Screen, top right, right on top of the battery icon.

it is not a screen rotation icon.

it only appears on the home page, not on any other screen

i hope someone can tell me what this is and how to delete it. I am unable to see the battery percentage.
