how do i remove the admin account on a 2011 imac?

If there is only one account, it cannot be removed, and it must stay admin.
If there are multiple accounts, you can make adjustments in System Preferences > Users & Groups.

Jack maybe you can help me.
I just finished a book that implied months and months of work and research.
I used Apple Pages to prepare it.
All is finished, perfectly shaped, ready to go to the Publisher.
But I am stuck because I don't find a way of fixing the headers and the numbers. The User Manual says one thing, what happens when you apply the procedure they suggest is a completely different thing.
I solved the problem before with three previous books exporting the manuscript to Word, but I have to fix and adjust the manuscript again.
This is my fourth book and I said to myself that this time I am not exporting it to Word, I want to finish this headers and page numbers in Apple Pages.

I am preparing an external backup using a sea gate portable drive 4 tera. They told me that I have to format it for Apple devices. Is there any special rule or recommendation for that formatting?
