Find my on macbook pro m1

I can't seem to enable find my on my new Mac. When I go into I cloud it always says its setting up but never sets up. I have been trying this for a week now but it never works. My location is visible but im scared to reset my whole apple ID and macbook to factory new. My new mac is shown on my devices list but not the location. When I go into the find my app it tells me to sign in but i'm already signed in. I need some advise.

In Mac system preferences > click on Apple ID icon > find my Mac > click on option button and turn off .

It will prompt to enter Apple ID password .

Click on done .

The find my Mac box gets unchecked .

Click on allow , it will show setting up ( circle rotates ) the box of find my Mac gets checked .

if its not working try to create a new admin account Set up users, guests and groups on Mac - Apple Support
