MBP to SSD on Eero wifi

I have Erro routers with 2 ethernet ports in each. I am connecting to my Sandisk 500 GB SSD with an ethernet eero supplied ethernet cord > ethernet-USB3 adapter > USB3-Thunderbolt adapter > Sandisk 500 GB SSD. I successfully backed up my laptop via Time Machine when connected directly, but when I attach it to the wifi network, it's not recognized.  Is there any solution? Appreciate guidnce. Thank you

An external drive is not a network attached storage (NAS) device. You either need a router that supports connecting an external drive (eero does not) or you need a proper NAS enclosure.

Personally, I have a QNAP NAS with a pair of 10 TB HDDs connected to my eero, for wireless Time Machine backups of several Macs in the house.

Did you try connecting the Sandisk drive via a USB port?

I would think the Sandisk had a USB cable you could plug into the router directly...

unless you are saying the Sandisk shipped with USBC

SanDisk has USB C port, which I connected the router to USB C with an Ethernet adapter. Eero router does not have a USB adapter.

? " Erro "

If this is eero—

Have you contacted eero Support/Help/FAQ for known issues, compatibility, or updated driver

Have you tried an alternate brand Adapter that is known to work with Mac?
