"Sleep/Wakeup hang detected" on Macbook Pro

I keep getting the error below, whenever my MacBook Pro (13 inch 2019, Thunderbolt 3 ports) running MacOS 10.15.7 goes to sleep when it is disconnected from a power source (or any peripherals for that matter):

First thing to try is to reset the SMC. This can resolve sleep, wakeup, or power related problems.

If that does not, then try restarting in Safe Mode, hold the shift key when booting, it may take 10 minutes or more, so be patient.

If the issue is still there, run Etrecheck (a free download) with full disk access enabled and post the results here by using the "additional text" option button when replying in the Apple Discussions. The Etrecheck developer and others who read this will examine the output and they may find the culprit, possibly something that has been installed or a configuration issue.
