How to add apps to use face ID as authentication

I want to put face ID authentication/passcode when I open my apps (acting as if an app lock). Is that possible? Thank you

iPhone 11 Pro Max, iOS 14

You cannot do that.. each app has to be designed to utilize Face ID.

You can contact an app developer and ask them to enable that feature in their app. But you cannot change that if an app currently doesn’t support the feature.

You can set up screen time which allows you to put restrictions on apps. Which makes you have to enter your screen time passcode.
