Trying to make a Sierra installer disk while running Big Sur

Hello all! I'm trying to refurbish a 2011 MacBook Pro that has a blocked HD due to me screwing up the formatting bit. I need to format it but the HD is configured as the System install disk. I'm trying to create an installer disk to run USB. On my new Macbook, I'm currently running Big Sur and can't seem to get the install files in order to make the USB drive installer in order to fix the old Mac.

Can anyone help???

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.13

I've tried that, and I can't get a copy. It always says my Mac (the new one, running Big Sur) isn't compatible with that macOS version.

Then your hands are tied, If you could not download from the backup server I linked to above:

Try from your 2011 Internet Recovery and use the Disl Utility there to format the new drive and install the macOS

Boot into Internet Recovery (Option Command R) and from the dropdown menu: Utilities>  Disk Utility
