iOS FOLDERS vs ALBUMS explained

~~~~~ FOLDERS can hold: Folders and Albums, but not Photos.
~~~~~ ALBUMS can hold: Photos only.

Moving Folders & Albums:

in iOS:

    • You CAN re-arrange the display order of folders and albums when you are in "Edit" mode.
    • You CANNOT move Folders or Albums into other Folders or Albums.

(the only way to modify your folder/album hierarchy is to (a) re-create the folders/albums where you want them, (b) drag the photos, (c) delete the old folders/albums. )

in iCloud for Windows: You cannot rearrange anything. Do it on your iOS device.

On Mac: I have no idea. You can probably do everything imaginable while it dances a jig and gives you a relaxing massage.

Re-arranging Photos:

in iOS: You can drag photos to re-arrange their display order within albums you create. You CANNOT re-arrange photos anywhere else.

in iCloud for Windows: You cannot rearrange anything. Do it on your iOS device.
