Can't Update Watch

I am trying to update my apple watch and I keep getting this error message on my phone: "Unable to Check for Update. Checking for software update failed because you are not connected to the internet."

But I am connected to the internet.

Trying getting closer to the watch and utilize a reliable WiFi connection, it also paramount that both devices be connected to their chargers. And be close proximity.
