PayPal can’t connect with iTunes

I used to have my PayPal account and card linked. I never had any problems with it before but it is now acting up. I tried to start an Apple TV+ subscription but it didn’t work when I tried to start the subscription. So, because of this I thought maybe logging out and logging back in would help. Now it keeps saying to login so I tried that but it then when I do it says this payment method can’t be used with the iTunes Store try using another. Any thoughts or ideas why this is happening?
