MacBook Pro mid 2012, not find hdd

Suddently with no prewiring, the Mac can not find the boot disk. I have tried every googled suggestions, but the machine will simply not find the disc. I have pulled out the disk and installed in a disk in a enclosure, connected it to the mascine with Usb and it works. This tells med it is nothing wrong with the disc. I have also installed a new clean SSD disc, but the machine can not find this either. Since I can use the machine normal having the boot disc connected with USB I have tried to find the new installer internal disc with disc utility, but it will not find it anywhere. So, the question, what is wrong...? Is it the cable to the motherboard, is it the motherboard or is it something else?
