Finder window size

When open the Finder, the window always opens to the same size. Can I resize it to always open in a larger window? (Not full size, just a larger size so I can see all the icons at once.)

Hello GaPeti,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities!

If we understand your post correctly, you want to know how to resize the Finder window but have it open to that size again when you reopen it. We're happy to help!

  1. Open a new Finder window.
  2. As you resize the window, hold the Command ⌘ key. Close resized window.
  3. Then hold the Alt / Option key as you right click on Finder in the Dock and click Relaunch.
  4. Any Finder windows opened after this will open at that size.
