Can I download files from icloud to my computer and then free up space on icloud drive/photos?

Are your files on iCloud Drive or in iCloud Photos Library, or both?

You can use the download Botton at www. iCloud com to download items and save them on your computer or on an external drive (iCloud Drive files, Photos and videos). Once you are sure you have saved them in folders on your computer, you can delete the files from iCloud. (Delete folders or files in iCloud Drive)

None of the links work. Apple is clearly censoring everything and preventing people from getting to their photos/videos. Unbelievable. So much for clearing up icloud storage or ever being able to download my pics. This is how they reel us in to get more money. Pay for more storage......pay for this....pay for that if you want your stuff. Otherwise we will hold it hostage and prevent you from getting to it.
