Invalid notice of new email

I currently use an email I've created in middle school so I made a new account that is more professional. The thing is I have never used the email for apple id and apple will not let me make a new account because it is saying that the email is already being used. I looked up the apple id and it says there is no apple id with the email and I have two apple ids and none of them are linked with this email. I would just make another email but it's very inconvenient since I now use this email for every other platform. I talked to apple support and they could not help. Am I missing something here?
