bluetooth devices not showing on macbook air 10.15.7

My bluetooth devices show on my iPhone, but not on my MacBook Air running Catalina 10.15.7

I do however, have the spinning wheel. Turning bluetooth on and off makes no difference.

Hi slowdriver,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you’re having trouble with Bluetooth devices on your Mac. We’re happy to help.

To start, make sure your devices are in pairing mode so that your Mac can see them. You’ll want to refer to the manufacturer’s instructions for steps on putting your device into pairing mode.

Should your Mac still not recognize the device, try starting in safe mode to see if the issue persists: Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support

We also suggest resetting the SMC: How to reset the SMC of your Mac

We hope that helps.

Take care.
