Excruciating loud noise while talking on my iphone12

What is this loud noise when talking on my phone . Other person doesn’t hear it . So loud my ear was is still ringing a 1/2 hour later . Scared me so bad I dropped the phone . It made my right side of my head go deaf for an instant . I Fx any describe what it sounded like but it seems to have impaired my hearing . Hopefully this is temporary. What is this and it can’t happen again . I am now afraid to hold the phone to my ear .

If the audio quality is not clear, here's some basic steps you can try: If you hear no sound or distorted sound from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch speaker

We'd also recommend restarting the device and making sure the software is up to date if you haven't done so already.

Restart your iPhone

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If the sound quality is good for all other audio and the issue is only with call audio, you can try resetting the network connection. This will refresh the devices connection with the cellular network. Just navigate to Settings > General > Reset, and select Reset Network Settings.

I don’t think you understand but I appreciate your attempt. I never mentioned having problems with audio quality . I mentioned a specific excruciating loud piercing noise that almost took my hearing in my right ear . The call was fine but I’m an instant the speaker was so loud it almost busted my ear drum . I was shaken up for about 15 mins and my hearing did not full restore for about 30 mins . I believe that the high quality of the speaker is entirely too loud to have close to your ear and in an instant the phone reached its loudest volume while I was talking on the phone . This is a design flaw that the engineers did not expect . Great sounding speaker wrong place to to out a high decibel speaker on a phone if accidentally it is switched to speaker or it is getting feedback of some kind through the phone . Either way some one could get seriously injured .
