iPod Classic sort in Big Sur

I just upgraded to Big Sur OS from Mojave. How do I sync my iPod so that the playlist I want to use is sorted by artist?

Sort the list the way that you want it in Music, then right-click on the playlist name in the sidebar and click Copy to Play Order. This is the order that should get synced to your device.
