Change font color back! Changed to black after update

I updated iPad Air 2 to 14.4.1 and my homepage fonts changed from a light to black color. I hate it, and want my light colored font back. Why did it change it without any input from me, and how do I change it back ?? I tried invert but my screen turned black behind words.

From what you’re describing, it sounds like you may have Dark Mode enabled. You can find steps to turn it on or off here: Use Dark Mode on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
