disable safari on Ipad

I am in desperate need of disabling Safari on my IPad so that I can complete an online course before Friday. I have downloaded Google chrome * Firefox and Microsoft edge I have dedicated the browser to each one during my attempts but it keeps coming back stating that I have safari as my browser .... Yet clearly in my settings as Chrome or Firefox or Edge which ever i am trying to do at the time
