scrollable screensaver?

I recently upgraded from Sierra to Big Sur ( yes - I procrastinated on this). But anyway, I have since lost a feature from Sierra that I really liked. Maybe someone knows a fix to this. I am looking for a way to scroll forward or backward thru photos that come up on my screen saver randomized from MyPhotos. Ok - I realize the point of a screen saver is that I am not using the computer at that time. However, VERY frequently I find that I see a picture when I am across the room - or just getting ready to sit down and use computer - and it is maybe from a long time ago, or a pic that I don't remember seeing for a while and I just want to page backwards and look at it. I know I can go into photos and start searching - that's not what I need. I just want to re-look at that randomized photo again that popped up. On Sierra - the left and right arrow allowed me to do that without ending the screensaver process. In Big Sur now, these arrow keys (like all others) now end the ScreenSaver. Any ideas if there is a way to customize this??
