Document Folders Say Modified on the same date and time, but they were never opened at all

Many Document Folders Say Modified on the same date and time, but they were never opened at all. This has been going on since 2019 but I just noticed it. Thanks for explaining.

Date Modified in Finder changes when Word and Excel files open I have experience that the folder changes the Date Modified when I open a word och excel file, tested a folder containing a Page and Numbers document, and opened these files, and as expected , the folder stayed in the same time setting without changing the date. This problem has been reported earlier but I can't see how to fix it. If some one at Apple reades this it would be of much benefit for my workflow if you could fix this problem. Good luck!

MY FILES ARE ERASED FROM DESKTOP & DOCUMENTS WITHOUT WARNING I have a MacBook pro 16' model of 2020. I use Ventura 13.1 Files randomly are erased from my Desktop and Documents without any warning? I read that this is caused because Desktop and Documents are synched in iCloud. Is that true? How can I fix it? ..because all files are business docs? thanks..

Files and Folders in 'Documents' in iCloud not showing on iMac 24 (M1) or iCloud Suddenly today the 'Documents' Folder in iCloud appears to be empty when viewed on iMac (M1, Sonoma). I can open files in sub-folders from recents lists in applications so I know they are still there but Finder shows the Folder as empty! I can jump to sub-folders below Documents via shortcuts but these too are apparently empty. This problem also occurs via iCloud in a browser (safari) - checked via Safari on Mac and MacBook. However, the Files app on iPad and iPhone and also Finder on my MacBook Air (M2, Sonoma) shows all the files and Folders. There appears to be a problem retrieving and listing the files from iCloud on Sonoma on iMac and iCloud via browser.

The Date and Time the Folders in question, generally does not change until the User Modifies it. If it is never opened, the date the Folder was Created will remain static - unchanged -.
