Software Update

My laptop will not give me to option to update my software even though it is on 10.13.6. How do I update my computer still?

Back up your data, check your applications for compatibility, and if your MacBook is a 2012 or newer model, click on Catalina or Big Sur; they're full-version upgrades and won't appear in the Updates list. Otherwise, you can't.
