The Corel painter app not working

Hi.

My Corel painter app can´t start up. The message I get is "The server is currently unavailable. Check your internet connection". There is nothing wrong with my internet. So what can I do?

I tried to re-install the app, reset to default settings..but nothing works.

I still get the same message.

Someone who can help me?

Jeanette.

Thanks for getting back to us Jeanette_82,

If you're unable to install and open the app on more than one computer, that may indicate the issue is isolated to the app, or a version of the app that's being used.

If the issue is the result of incompatibility with a newer version of macOS, it would be typically expected to be alerted with one of the messages mentioned here: 32-bit app compatibility with macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 and later

We recommend trying to continue working with the app developer, if other apps are opening as expected and connecting to the internet, working with the support team most familiar with app encountering the behavior will be the best way to find a solution.

Cheers!

Thanks for posting in the Apple Community Forums Jeanette_82,

We understand you're unable to open one of your applications, even after re-installing the app and resetting settings.

It sounds like the app is trying to connect to the internet. Do you have an active internet connection in other apps?

If you're connected to the internet and the message persists, the following page offers additional guidance that may be helpful: Open a Mac app from an unidentified developer

Should the issue continue, connecting with the developer of the app will be the best next step. They'll be the most familiar with the software they create, and any additional steps that can be taken with it. You can get assistance with Corel products, here: Corel, Pinnacle and Roxio Support.

We hope this helps!

Hi and thank you for answering me!

I tried for 2 days to get help from corel painter. But no one could help me.

Then I downloaded corel painter on the other mac we have, with a different username and everything - but the same problem also now.

So - is it possible that there is something wrong with the app?

After maybe an upgrade or something?
