Suddenly, my iPad keeps converting my handwriting to text and its getting frustrating, because I don't know how to get it off. I updated it thinking it would solve the problem, but it didn't. and at this point I don't know what else to do.
Does anyone know how to get it off?

Perhaps you are using an Apple Pencil - and have enabled Scribble?

You can easily disable Scribble from iPad Settings:
Settings > Apple Pencil > Scribble - set to OFF

I tried turning off scribble, but that didn’t work. What I did was save my notes to files, then delete and reinstall the app.
