Whatsapp voice calls/video calls over wifi.

Hello!

I am facing this issue:

Whataapp voice calls and/or video calls have stopped working from iphone to iphone over wifi. They do work on 4G.

I tried testing it calling an android phone and it worked on wifi.

I tested it with mine, video calling my wife. It doesn't work, says poor connection, reconnecting. I tried it the other way around... my wife to me... same. I have an iphone 12 pro and my wife an iphone 11 pro. Both updated to its latest software as well as Whatsapp.

My mother-in-law has an iphone 6 plus and has the same issue when trying to video call us via Whatsapp.

Restarted our internet connection and but that wasn't the issue.

We're understanding that you're encountering an app specific issue when making/receiving calls using Wi-Fi. The app in question is the third-party app, WhatsApp.

We encourage you to test the situation on your device, since we can only troubleshoot a device you have access to, using a different, secure Wi-Fi network to see if the situation persists and if so, reach out to the WhatsApp developers for additional assistance. They may have specific Wi-Fi network settings they recommend. We'll include the ones we recommend as well.
