iPad and Devices Won't Accept Password

I started to get a message saying that I needed to sign in to Apple account popping up on my iPad 3. When I enter my password, correctly, several times, it tells me that the password is wrong. It isn't wrong. What can I do to get my iPad back in sync. The same problem just started on my MacBook Pro.
