Potential Scam Email from Apple

Received an email saying I have won a brand new iPhone 12 Pro - Sender email address = Apple <xx@promo-xxx.com> Is this valid or should I send it as a scam. There is a link in the email. Trying to determine if this is a scam. Thank you!

Been using Apple devices for nearly 30 years. Never, ever heard of them offering free devices to anyone under any circumstances.

As always the case with a unsolicited out of the blue “you’ve won” something email or text, they are scams. All of them.
