iPhone has to be rebooted to charge

Ever since I updated my software my iPhone will. It charge!! I thought it was the charger and tried several different chargers and nothing. I have to restart it. I have an iPhone 11 and a brand new 12 pro and same with both phones!! I have read online others having the same issue. How do we fix this?

Hi Vovo82,

Thanks for the post in Apple Support Communities. It's understandable to need to be able to charge your iPhone, and we'd like to help out. As we understand it, you have two iOS devices and neither charges unless you restart the device. Is that right?

You mentioned trying other chargers with the same results. Are you connecting the charger to a wall outlet, or are you using a hub or computer? We recommend trying multiple outlets and ports if possible to see if you can narrow the issue down.

This link offers some good next steps as well If your iPhone or iPod touch won't charge.

We hope that helps. Keep us updated, and have a good rest of your day.

hi, thankyou for your response the charger has been connected to several different outlets throughout my home and I still experience the same issue I even have wireless charging available and still experienced the same issue it had never happened to me before and I have had several iPhones throughout the years and this has started happening recently. When I first purchased my iPhone along with an original Apple charger it charged with no issue. This has been happening for the past 3 days.
