Attachment viewing

Hi, I am a new Ipad user slowly navigating my way around its functionality. I want to be able to open and view documents that come into my email accounts. At the moment some documents are greyed out and say .pdf with data underneath. Some PDF's do open. I have both word and adobe. I think the documents I can view are when they have been opened on another device could that be the case?

Help?

Unable to Save Attachment from Mail to Ipad files Hi, I am trying to save files from my inbox to a folder I created in the files section which is located in the section titled "on my ipad" however, when I select "on my ipad" the save button is greyed out and will not let me select a folder within the files folder, nor will it allow me to simply save to the "on my ipad" location.
