slow Wifi, bluetooth and cover Ipad Pro 11

On my brand new Ipad Pro the wifi was terrible. I read a thread that this might have to do with the bluetooth, so I disconnected bluetooth and the problem of the bad wifi was solved. However, without bluetooth you cannot use the Apple Pencil.

It was suggested to remove the cover and that did solve the issue at hand. Without the cover the wifi is good and I can use bluetooth again to use the pencil.

Using the Ipad without a cover is however not an option. So I will order a new cover and investigate further.

The one cover that does not work for me at this time is the Targus Model THZ865GL-51

WiFi is predominantly implemented in two band frequency bands - these being 2.4GHz and 5GHz, both of which are unlicensed “ISM” radio bands that are occupied by various devices of differing types.

Bluetooth is a different radio technology to WiFi - but occupies the same 2.4GHz radio band as WiFi. The two technologies can cause mutual interference - this leading to performance impact, or in extreme cases, no operation.

The easiest method of mitigating performance issues of this type is to connect to WiFi using the 5GHz ISM band, removing interference with Bluetooth devices that can only operate using 2.4GHz ISM radio frequencies. To do so, you may need to review the capabilities and configuration of your WiFi Router. Most modern WiFi Routers support both bands; it may be necessary to “split” your 2.4GHz/5GHz WiFi into two separate networks.
