Major Music App Issues On Mac - In Depth - Please Read

What I am trying to Accomplish:

On my MacBook Pro, I cannot stream non-downloaded music when clicking on it in my Music Library.

Is anyone else having any of the issues I've mentioned below.


A. Current Issues on Affected Mac:

  • Items are hidden
  • Single-clicking does not work
  • Music item is just not clickable
  • The "Play" button on the top is dulled-out.
  • Double-clicking the Music item does not work
  • No Music Videos icon on the far-left of Music app
  • I can only use the "Download" button on far-right of screen
  • There’s no white-colored “Play” button on the left of the icon
  • Only an arrow icon appears when hovering over the music name


B. What I have Tried:

  • updating my Mac
  • deauthorizing the Mac
  • booting into Safe Mode
  • upgrading to macOS Big Sur
  • reinstalling the macOS (Catalina)
  • performing a new iCloud login session 


C. Current Successful Usage:

The only way to play Music on my, Mac, currently, is by:

  • downloading Music file
  • transferring a Music file in in
  • clicking on the "Download" button
  • playing in iTunes on a Windows PC
  • playing Music on my other Apple devices (iPhone, other Macs)
  • revealing Recent Purchases in Music Library
  1. Go to: Account menu 
  2. Select: Account menu
  3. Select: Not in my Library


Upcoming Appointment:

I have contacted Apple about this, and have an upcoming call on Sunday night, my time, scheduled with rom Apple on this. They are currently looking into this.


Is anyone else having any of the issues I've mentioned above.
