After downloading Apple Music from the APP Store, I clicked the profile icon in the top-right corner. The first option is to "Redeem Gift Card or Code." When I click it, a new screen imposes over the first, and after a moment, CANCEL in red appears. I've tried the process repeatedly on my 12 ProMax and iPad Pro. I even closed and reopened the iPhone to no avail.
Anyone know how to help me?

It turned out mine was not a "gift" card, it was a code sent by Best Buy in an email. All I had to do was click on the redemption code in the email, not enter it on the Apple site.
