Two-factor authentication blocking access to apple id because of outdated safari

I can’t update on my mini mac the outdated safari system because of the two-factor authentication. Lots of things on the web pages not functioning and most of all can’t get into my apple id after I login. Only a blank screen is displayed.

Apple id I was going logging into my account on safari. and the map popped up to allow or don’t allow for the two- factor authentication. and it was all the way in a different place but at the same time i was logging in? is that me still trying to log in or another person because i clicked allow cus i figured the address was messed up ??

Firefox browser can't log in to icloud.com with error: Failed to verify your identity. Try again. After attempting to sign in today to iCloud.com on my MacBook Pro using the latest Firefox browser (version 96.0.2 64-bit) and getting my 6 character verification code sent to both my MacBook and my iPhone there is nowhere on the Firefox browser to allow me to enter the code. In the past on the icloud.com login page in Firefox there has always been an Apple ID Two-Factor Authentication web form with 6 input boxes to enter the verification code but now this web form doesn’t appear in Firefox. Consequently, after a moment, an error message says ‘Failed to verify your identity. Try again.’ I am able to sign in okay using this two-factor sign in with the Safari browser and with the Chrome browser on my MacBook Pro. But not in Firefox. Same issue on a Catalina and High Sierra MacBook Pros. Does anyone know if this is a problem with Firefox or with Apple or even both? Thanks.

Why is two-factor authentication always required with Firefox ? Has anybody been able to figure out why two-factor authentication always comes up when Firefox is restarted, even if 'Keep me Signed in' has been ticked? Other browsers such as Chrome and Edge do not have this limitation. Is there some setting in Firefox that could help? Or is this iCloud issue?
