Print Jobs slow to spool to HP Deskjet Plus 4155 after installing Mac OS Catalina

Just a follow up Note about time to send a print job to the HP Deskjet Plus 4155. Several thunderstorms moved through Arkansas this afternoon so I shut everything down. When I restarted the iMac the printer could not be found. I created a Manual Printer status report by Holding the wireless button and Information button. The printer showed connected by wireless to URL: http://192.168.223.1 which happens to be HP Support Community's IP. Long Story short. I did a Reset to Defaults on the printer, set it up to find my Home Wifi and entered the PW then as an AirPrint printer. NOW within a couple of seconds after I send a print job the printer starts printing. Possible that I should have dumped the HP Smart set the first time I set up AirPrint first time.

This was an easier set up than the HP Smart app. The delay in the iMac sending the Print Jobs is shorter than with the previous set up, but I can live with it. I also notice a lag in both Apple apps and non Apple apps loading so I am beginning to wonder if it's in the iMac's processing of Catalina. Reviews indicated that some people were having slow performance with the Late 2012 iMac, so I waited as long as I could because I liked the way High Sierra performed, but Medtronic.com the site used to upload my wife's insulin pump data dropped support for it. Right now FINANCIALLY A little lag compared to the price of a new Mac.
