I have just purchase Iphone X 64GB GRY on 28th Nov 2020 and went to Switch store in Kuching to claim my warranty due to motherboard issue. One of the staff inform me that the warranty is not valid and have to pay RM2800 to replace the motherboard. My issue is, why is it the warranty is not valid as i purchase the item on Nov 2020. Kindly please assist to investigate. Awaiting for your reply as soon as possible.

Apple stopped selling the X in 2018. Warranty is for one year which nearly any model sold now exceeds.
Even in places that offer a two year warranty period those would be expired.
You bought a used device and it is not covered.
