How do I restore my Notes icon on my iphone 7?

My Notes icon has disappeared from my iphone 7 screen. How do I restore it and retrieve the data?

If you have deleted the Notes app, it can be downloaded again in the App Store. Just search for Notes. If your notes are stored in iCloud, which they are by default, then your notes are still in the app when you download it again.

If you are unable to download the Notes app because it is already installed, you may have moved it to the App Library. Go to your home screen and scroll as far to the right as possible until you arrive at the App Library. Find the Notes app, long press on it, and drag it back to the home screen.
