I have a Roku with the Apple TV app. How do I activate it with my free I year. Subscription? I activated it on my iPad but would rather watch it on my big screen

If your model Roku supports the Apple TV app, then you can download the app from the Roku Channel Store. Once installed, you can sign in to the Apple TV app with your Apple ID account, so that it will recognize your existing subscription.
